Sawn Timber Posts & Gravel Boards
Our range of Sawn Timber Posts & Gravel Boards are cut from homegrown Spruce & Pine timbers which are then pressure treated to Use Class 3.
Smaller sizes are selected to be cut 2/4ex from the log and larger sizes are cut 1ex from the log. Although 1ex posts will split more, the inclusion of the heart wood improves the service life of the post as this is the densest part of the log.
When determining your overall fence height, don’t forget to reduce your panel size to allow for the chosen height of gravel board. Fence posts should generally be at least 600mm (2’) in the ground and well concreted in. We would advise one - two bags of postmix per post for timber posts.

Ribbed/Planed, Rounded Top Timber Posts & Planed Gravel Boards
Our range of European Timber Posts & Gravel Boards are cut from Imported Pine timbers which are then pressure treated to Use Class 4.
These are generally cut 2/4ex from the log to ensure the best finish, complementing the aesthetics of the European Fencing Range along with a variety of other uses.

Concrete Posts & Gravel Boards
Our range of concrete products offer a permanent solution to the age old problem of replacing rotten fence posts. Correctly installed, this system will see more than one set of fence panels in its lifetime. The posts and gravel boards are manufactured using the wet cast technique to give the smoothest finish. These products can also be painted using standard masonry paints to compliment any garden colour scheme.
The Gravel boards are available either in a Smooth or Rockface finish, with heights of 150mm & 300mm (6’’ & 12’’) available.
When determining your overall fence height, don’t forget to reduce your panel size to allow for the chosen height of gravel board. Fence posts should generally be at least 600mm (2’) in the ground and well concreted in. We would advise two bags of postmix per post for concrete posts.
